šŸšØ Breaking News: 2025 Is Cancelled

New Year, New Me? Nope, Just New Problems

Welcome (or Welcome Back) Bestie <3

My name is India and this is the January issue of A Tall Girlā€™s Newsletter, an add-on of A Tall Girlā€™s Podcast which is dedicated to helping tall women feel more confident in their height.

In todayā€™s newsletter šŸ‘‡

ā° Is 2025 Over Yet?

I think my part of the newsletter will be short this time around. Super glad to be collaborating with Rachael on these newsletters lol so you guys can get some type of content.

If you havenā€™t seen my Instagram (I will include some of it here), I am really going through it. By the time this is up, weā€™re basically 10 days into 2025 and it already sucks badly. Well, for me.

Iā€™ve been having really bad digestive issues.

I got really sick ON TOP OF my bad digestive issues.

My LDR of over 1 year ended. It was amicable. Not really mutual though. It was because of the distanceā€¦

I quite literally have no motivation to get out of bed and do things. The only reason why Iā€™m able to is because I have so many goals in place for myself that I canā€™t give up on them. I refuse to.

I really ended 2024 thinking, ā€˜yup 2025 is definitely gonna be the year that everything changes for meā€™.

I just didnā€™t think like this. I think that unexpected things like this come in to remind us that we donā€™t always have things figured out.

We donā€™t always have control over everything in our lives. We donā€™t always know for sure what our future holds. And I think thatā€™s the beauty of being a human being and living this life.

Iā€™m managing my digestive issues until my doctorā€™s appointment at the end of the month.

Iā€™m finally getting over this sickness I got.

Iā€™m trying my best to move out of the denial phase of the grieving process. Iā€™m still doing the things that I know I love; I just donā€™t feel that spark yet. But everyone says it takes time and itā€™s only been a week so I will allow myself to sit and feel emotions that Iā€™ve never felt in my life. Iā€™m only human, right?

Anyways, if youā€™re going through a tough time, I feel you. Itā€™s okay to have no motivation. To feel like the world is crashing and burning. To even feel hopeless. Itā€™s okay to FEEL.

But at the end of the day, itā€™s ultimately about how we show up for ourselves. Even something as simple as doing this newsletter is a sign of progress. And Iā€™m sure you can find something small in your day to help keep you going too. ā¤ļø

šŸ‘š Rachaelā€™s Fashion Take - Chocolate Mousse: The Color of the Year and Why Tall Girls Should Embrace It

Rachael is a tall fashion creator standing at 6ā€™3ā€ whose mission is to find quality, affordable clothing that caters to tall frames. To follow Rachael and see her fashion picks and try-ons, check out her Instagram.

Every year, color experts and designers zero in on a shade that sets the tone for trends in fashion and design. For 2025, that color is Chocolate Mousseā€”a rich, warm brown thatā€™s as versatile as it is timeless. Here's why tall girls should add this hue to their wardrobes and how to style it confidently.

Why Chocolate Mousse is Perfect for Tall Girls:

  1. Neutral Yet Bold: Brown is a grounded neutral that elongates the frame without overpowering it, making it perfect for tall silhouettes.

  2. Versatility: Chocolate tones work across all seasons, whether youā€™re layering up in cozy knits or dressing down in airy cotton.

  3. Complementary to Height: Taller frames shine in longer, streamlined pieces like maxi coats, wide-leg pants, or tailored blazers in deep, earthy tones.

How to Style Chocolate Mousse for Tall Frames:

  1. Go Monochrome: Create a long, sleek silhouette by wearing chocolate head-to-toe. A pair of tall-friendly wide-leg pants paired with a matching sweater is effortlessly chic.

  2. Contrast with Textures: Pair chocolate-hued wool pants with a silky blouse or leather boots for added dimension.

  3. Accent with Pops of Color: Chocolate pairs beautifully with jewel tones like emerald or sapphire and with muted tones like beige or camel.

Brands to Look Out For:
Tall-friendly brands like Gap and American Tall are embracing this trend with pieces in tall sizes, ensuring the perfect fit for long legs and arms.

Chocolate Mousse isnā€™t just a trendā€”itā€™s a wardrobe staple that tall girls can embrace confidently. Invest in quality pieces that fit well, and this color will take you seamlessly from winter to spring and beyond.

šŸŽ™ļø Episode of the Month (Kinda)

I feel like the episode of the month is kinda screwed up because of Podmas lol.

I typically show episodes that did well from the previous month, but because I was delivering a weekly newsletter and showing an episode each week, I canā€™t do that right now lol.

SO I will take this moment to showcase this weekā€™s episode with a new guest! Her name is Denvyr (@tallgirlnutrionist on Instagram) and she hopped on the pod to talk about common health misconceptions relating to tall girls from gaining muscle to being considered ā€œoverweightā€ according to the BMI scale to even how much tall girls should be eating.

Definitely learned more from this episode than I ever did in my 1 semester of nutrition class lol. Tune in šŸ‘‡
