ā°What’s Been Going On Lately

I just want to start off by saying thank you so much for all the support and kind words given to me over the past few weeks.

After revealing my Crohn’s disease both here and on my Instagram, I’ve received nothing but amazing comments and messages, and I’m extremely grateful for that.

It’s been pretty rough over the past few weeks. Truthfully, I feel like I haven’t been delivering as much as I could with the podcast. I’ve been busy trying to handle my professional life and now my health issue, and with the holiday that passed and the start of summer, my time has definitely been booked up.

I’ve been skipping days when it comes to posting. I feel like my episodes aren’t really delivering. I also feel like my recordings are rushed. And I’m not mad about it.

Because it happens, we have different seasons of life. It’s just that adding the health aspect to it has been a lot.

However, here are a couple of things I AM looking forward to soon:

  • šŸ‘‰ I’m going to see Ke$ha next month!!

  • šŸ‘‰ I just got a CT scan yesterday, so I will be getting more insights on my Crohn’s (update: I have ankylosing spondylitis??)

  • šŸ‘‰ I will be offboarding a toxic freelance client at the end of the summer

  • šŸ‘‰ I’m going to a tall girl meetup tomorrow!

  • šŸ‘‰ A Tall Girl’s Merch is in the works???

I’d like to ask you guys to bear with me over the next few weeks. I will always get a podcast episode up every week (I feel like that’s really the easiest for me to handle tbh), but there will be days when I won’t be engaging as much on socials. And sometimes, not even post on there. Take a while to respond to comments. And so forth. But your support means everything to me <33

How to Pack for Your Next Vacation Like a Pro

Because no one wants to overpack and still feel like they have nothing to wear.

Packing for a trip can feel like a puzzle, especially when you want to feel stylish, comfortable, and ready for anything. This guide keeps things simple with a mix-and-match strategy and a packing list designed for your next warm-weather getaway. Whether you’re headed to the beach, the lake, or a long-awaited trip to Italy, these tips work across destinations and help you get the most out of your suitcase.

Note: This is a suggested clothing packing list! Don’t forget your favorite toiletries, tech gear, or travel essentials. (Think: sunscreen, portable charger, and the one hair product you’d never leave behind.)

Step 1: Pick a Color Palette

Choose a color scheme that you love. Think all neutrals with a pop of green, or mix rust tones with black and ivory. Sticking to a palette makes it easy to build outfits—and your vacation photos will feel effortlessly pulled together.

Step 2: Pack for Versatility

Every piece in your bag should work more than one way.

Try styling linen pants with:
• A tank and sandals for exploring
• A blouse and clutch for dinner
• A swimsuit and oversized shirt for lounging by the water

This approach makes packing lighter and getting dressed easier.

Step 3: Stick to a Fit Theme

Keeping your silhouettes consistent helps everything pair well together. If you love wide-leg pants or relaxed-fit shorts, bring tops that balance that shape—like cropped tanks, tucked tees, or lightweight button-downs. Having a ā€œfit themeā€ makes mixing and matching a breeze.

Step 4: Use Accessories to Finish the Look

Accessories are your styling secret weapon.

A straw hat and structured clutch can elevate any outfit. A few pairs of sandals—think casual, dressy, and statement—give you options without taking up much space. Jewelry adds polish and personality, even to the simplest look.

Step 5: Don’t Pack Wild Cards

Stick with pieces you know you love and feel good wearing. New items can be great—just give them a test run before your trip so you’re not caught off guard by an unexpected fit or feel.

✨ Final Tip

Packing isn’t about bringing everything—it’s about bringing what works. With a little planning, your suitcase becomes a mini wardrobe you’ll actually enjoy wearing.

Linked a few tall-friendly faves from my suitcase—swimsuit, linen pants, longer shorts + more.

Save this for your next trip! šŸŒ“ā˜€ļø https://liketk.it/5frAW

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø People Treat You a Certain Way Because of Your Height??

I came across a very interesting commentary video that briefly discussed the infantilization of Sabirina Carpenter.

And if you know anything about Sabrina Carpenter, you know that she is A SHORT QUEEN.

Anyways, there is a certain persona or vibe she gives off to some of her audience, which is almost like a young, child-like appearance. And her height plays a big role in that.

Now, let me ask you something: when you were like 11 or 12, did anyone ever mistake you for being older than you were? Maybe even to take on more responsibility than what you could handle at your age? And then blame it on your height?

Yup, me too lol.

That just goes to show that your height plays a HUGE role in how seriously you’re taken, people’s expectations of you, and more. Definitely tune in to the episode of the month below for more on this topic!
