🎉 I Have Good News!!

It’s official…I’m going to grad school!!! Last month I applied and got accepted into my top choice for graduate school. I will not say the school (because there are some creepy people out here!!) but I will say that I’m going to get my Master’s in Marketing! Fun fact, I am a Freelance Marketer BUT I didn’t graduate with a Marketing degree, so I figured going for a Master’s in that field can connect me with the right people.

And that school is expensive, so wish me luck y’all, and make sure you tune in to every single episode from here on out so I can get the extra tuition money lol 💰💰💰

🎁 Holiday Season is Here in NYC

Halloween is over, and now it’s time for the rest of the holiday festivities! And that includes Thanksgiving lol; I know y’all like to skip over her but she still exists. This is truly one of the most wonderful and expensive times of the year.

I just wanted to provide a reminder that it’s okay if you can’t afford gifts this year. It’s okay to not participate in every single holiday activity. To not eat out with your friends constantly. To not afford a Christmas tree. This economy is quite literally wreaking havoc on everyone’s pockets and we can only do what we can.

My advice: budget and resist temptation at all costs. You are not alone in this.

I will have a link in the “Resources For You” section at the end of this newsletter providing money tips for the holiday season!!

Holiday Gift Guide for Tall Individuals: Beyond Clothes and Shoes

Finding thoughtful gifts for the tall folks in your life can be a challenge, especially when so many traditional items don’t quite fit the bill (or, in our case, our bodies!).

While clothes are a fantastic choice, we tall individuals know all too well that finding the right fit can be a journey. Gift cards to your favorite indie tall-friendly retailers, like Simply Tall, American Tall, and Corby and Holbrook, are an ideal way to give the gift of choice. For tall folks with larger feet, gift cards to specialty footwear stores like Otto and Ivy, Trèsolz, or Cinderella’s Shoe Shop are a lifesaver.

But this season, let’s think beyond clothes and shoes. Here are some unique and practical gift ideas designed with tall individuals in mind:

Extra-Large Packing Cubes
Packing for travel is tricky when your clothes and shoes are bigger than average.

Oversized Blankets
There’s nothing worse than exposed toes on a chilly night!

Extra-Long Yoga Mats
For the tall yogis, an extra-long mat makes all the difference.

Extra-Large Bath Towels
Say goodbye to skimpy towels! Extra-large bath towels are essential for fully wrapping up post-shower.

Holiday shopping season is here, and it’s the perfect time to start planning! Consider these ideas to treat the tall person in your life (or yourself!) to gifts that truly fit their needs. Happy gifting and FOLLOW ME for more gifting ideas!

🦹 Tall Women Are Villains??

Just because Halloween is over that doesn’t mean we can't talk about some scary stuff like the fact that the media thinks we’re villains???

Yup, you read that correctly.

In many Disney animated movies, the woman villains and antagonists are taller than the princesses and the protagonists (yes, even the male protagonists!!!)

Some people are saying that it’s because the princesses are teens and the villains/antagonists are older, but I don’t know…the same is the case for the male villains - they’re taller than all of the protagonists.

And then on top of that, Disney World has height requirements for their actors. SOOOO, the actors who play the woman villains have taller height requirements than the princesses. I’m sorry…it’s 2024???? Why are we still doing this?? Anyways, feel free to explore more in the…

🎙️Episode of the Month

This marks a new shift in my podcast content. It was more so self confidence and tall girl problems, but now I’ve delved more into commentary on things relating to tall women and how that affects our self confidence, which is honestly something very interesting to me! If you want more content like this, I highly recommend subscribing!
