⏱️The Final Countdown is Here - Tall-iday Tips and Trends You Need to Know!

A Tall Girl's Podmas Week 3 is here!

Welcome (or Welcome Back) Bestie <3

My name is India and this is your third December issue of A Tall Girl’s Newsletter, an add-on of A Tall Girl’s Podcast which is dedicated to helping tall women feel more confident in their height.

In today’s newsletter 👇

Rachael is a tall fashion creator standing at 6’3” whose mission is to find quality, affordable clothing that caters to tall frames. To follow Rachael and see her fashion picks and try-ons, check out her Instagram.

As we reflect on 2024 and step into 2025, it’s the perfect time to create a wardrobe that truly aligns with your style mantra. This is your chance to build a capsule wardrobe (Whitney Allysyn is great for that!) that not only fits your tall frame but also simplifies your style choices with versatile, quality pieces.

Take a moment to assess the items you’ve added to your closet this year, do they reflect your personal style and values?

In 2024, trends like wide-leg jeans and oversized blazers proved to be staples for tall women, effortlessly complementing our frames. Heading into 2025, consider investing in timeless pieces that transcend trends.

High-quality denim with extra-long inseams, like styles from Corby and Holbrook, are worth the splurge.

Durable, cozy sweaters from Miss G and Me are another smart choice—they’ll keep you stylish for seasons to come.

And we can’t forget about Tall Size serving some great holiday looks. (Use code ILOTT10 for 10% off your first Tall Size purchase!!)

Additionally, think about your purchases from an ethical standpoint. Did you lean toward fast fashion in 2024? If so, 2025 is a great time to explore more sustainable and ethical brands.

But don’t forget to leave room for experimentation—try out new styles and discover brands that resonate with your evolving taste. This year, let your wardrobe reflect your confidence and growth as you continue to thrive! Follow Rachael for more inspo and daily style picks!

🏀 Holiday Hustle: Tall Tips for Crushing the Full-Contact Season!

It’s game time, y’all! The holiday season has entered its final stretch, and you know what that means — chaotic family gatherings, meetups and ‘greet’-ups, no sleep, and soooo much more. Why haven’t we considered this to be an Olympic sport yet?

Whether you're hosting or just trying to survive the whirlwind, one thing’s for sure: the holidays are a full-contact sport, especially for us tall folks. Here’s how we’re gonna push through 👇

1. Nothing But Pain lol ⛹️‍♀️🤕

The holidays are all about good food, good vibes, and spending time with loved ones. But let’s not ignore the reality:

  • Endless cooking.

  • Non-stop cleaning.

  • Rearranging your living room furniture for that “perfect flow” (thanks, Mom).

And here’s the thing — the world wasn’t exactly built for tall people. Counters and sinks are always too low. Sitting on furniture can be pretty uncomfy at times. And don’t even get me started on bending down to clean every corner.

🏆 The Solution: Take breaks (seriously, don’t try to be a superhero). And if you haven’t gotten one already, let me put you on: a foam roller. It’s not just for rolling out sore muscles — it’s the perfect tool for stretching your back after long hours of cooking or scrubbing counters. Foam rollers = lifesavers. Trust me on this one.

2. Sub Out to Avoid Burnout 🎽

Managing the exhaustion that hits after days of festivities, socializing, and non-stop bending (because somehow, everything you need always falls on the floor) can be challenging. When you’ve made it to the end of the evening, the last thing you’re thinking about is doing any type of self-care or night routine.

It’ll be time to hit the hay!

Here’s what we’re gonna do to avoid over-exhausting ourselves.

🏆 The Solution: Take a break, whether that’s sneaking off for some solo couch time or grabbing a quick nap. And don’t forget to fuel up! Snacks and hydration are your best teammates. Bonus points if you bring a travel mug of hot cocoa into the mix — it’s festive and functional. And please cut yourself some slack — not every task needs to be a gold-medal performance.

3. (Over)Time with the Family ⏱️🥊

EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. There is always something that that one (or two or three lol) family member has to say. Handling those classic family comments that seem to pop up year after year is not for the weak:

  • “Geesh I forgot how tall you were!”

  • “Look how much weight you’ve gained…”

  • “Still with those highwaters??”

  • “Can you reach that for me?”

Keeping your cool when you’ve heard the same “jokes” more times than you can count is pretty difficult.

🏆 The Solution: Prepare your responses – Keep it light and witty. You can say something like "Well, I forgot how short you were, so I guess we’re even!" or "Sure thing! Don’t forget to tip your tall service provider." Redirect with charm and humor — that’s always a classic move! After all, the haters gonna hate, right? Don’t forget: people sometimes say these things out of jealousy and insecurity. You never know what’s going on in people’s lives, so don’t take it personally.

Speaking of unnecessary comments… 👇

Has anyone ever asked you how much you weigh as a tall girl?? Seems weird, right? You’d think people would ask about your height. Why would they ask about weight?

Well…we all know how people like to fetishize tall women…

Connecting the dots yet?

In this episode, I dive deep into why people ask tall women how much they weigh and the serious role that other tall women play in perpetuating this behavior. Tune in below!

It might take you 60 seconds, but it’d help this podcast reach the right people by leaving a review.

Have a great holiday week coming up everyone; see you next week for the final week of Podmas and have a holly jolly day!
