The Tall Girls Are Being Humbled...

Aggressive behaviors towards tall women, fall fashion, and life updates

💭 A Lot Has Happened Recently

It’s been a while! Well, a month to be exact lol. But so much has happened.

For starters, I began grad school! This is gonna be a new and exciting journey (I think??)

I don’t know. I’m grateful that I can get an education, let alone study what I’m passionate about. But I just think the older you get you kinda want more beyond school??

Like my whole life has been filled with school. It took up about 70% of it, whether it was actually attending class, homework, extracurriculars, and even commuting to school. The gap year that I had was probably the best year that I had for myself. Not necessarily because it was fun (I mean, it was lowkey). But because I was able to focus only on myself and what I needed. My health. My career. My friends. So going back to school, I can't help but think that all of those are going to be on the back burner. But hey, at least I’m going part-time. And I made some friends! So I’ll keep y’all updated.

Additionally, I recently lost a friend in my life. They’ve passed away. It’s weird because they were not a super close friend. But it’s a person that I’ve spoken to. Hung out with. Hugged SO MANY TIMES. For the past few months, there were times when we were supposed to hang out, but it never worked out. But we kept putting it off, saying “next time, next time”. And now that time will never come.

Again, it’s a weird feeling because it’s someone who was in your life, but you’re not super close to. I’m still trying to grapple with this loss. I’ve taken the time to grieve, yes, but I don’t think this is something that goes away that easily.

On the flip side, I’ve been creating some tall girl merch! I have a keychain design that’s been finalized (and I love it!) and am getting some stickers going. I would like to have some type of soft launch by October and run it through the rest of the holiday season (until the end of the year).

I’m not gonna lie; I don’t really consider myself a merch or product person, but I mean this only feels right with the podcast, ya know??? If you’re interested, definitely let me know! You guys will be the first to know about the launch. And also follow me on Instagram @atallgirlspodcast for updates. In the meantime, enjoy some pics below!

Fall is here, and with it comes a fresh wave of trends. As tall women, it can sometimes feel discouraging to spot something you love only to find it doesn’t come in your size or inseam. That’s why I pulled together eight fall trends I’m loving right now — and the good news is, there are tall and tall-friendly pieces available to make these looks work for you

Fall trends you’ll be seeing this season:

Retailers like Gap, J.Crew, Eddie Bauer, and Old Navy are carrying tall sizes that make these trends easier to shop this year. But don’t skip out on the independent tall brands — places like Paryse Style and Simply Tall also offer seasonal pieces designed with our frames in mind. If you’re looking for a wide variety of trends and staple pieces all in one place, check out Tall Size, which brings together the majority of independent tall retailers on one easy-to-shop site.

You can find these trends and more linked on my LTK page, and for more detailed reviews and styling ideas, don’t forget to follow me on Instagram.

🙃 Tall Girls Are Being Humbled…

The amount of aggressive behavior that tall women receive is actually pretty alarming.

I’ve received some from time to time from people shoving and pushing me, all the way to a guy elbowing me in the face (chill out, it was in a high school gym class).

I’ve heard quite a few stories from you guys as well, such as Alie Alexis, for example, talking about how a man tried to physically dunk on her once.

And don't even get me started on the Reddit Posts.

Sometimes, it really has you wondering, is being a tall woman dangerous? Why do people act like this towards tall women?

Well, we are exploring the answer to these questions and more in the episode of the month! Check it out below:
