🛍️ I Went to the 2024 NYC Tall Size Pop-Up Shop
Me and Kayla! | How It All Started…This past weekend, Tall Size visited NYC with their pop-up shop, and I was all in as soon as Nicole mentioned last year that they were touring. I volunteered to help out after seeing a Story post on their IG, and on Thursday, I had the chance to meet Kayla Alexander. Between moving boxes and building clothing racks, I’d say we got our workout in for the WEEKEND lol. 💪 |
The Recap…I couldn’t attend the Friday VIP night, but I made it on Saturday, and it was absolutely magical! I was so excited to be in a room full of tall women and tall clothing—I'm not even exaggerating when I say it was a dream come true. Fun fact: I made stickers and business cards to promote my podcast since my target audience was right there with me. I was a bit nervous at first about how people would react, but y’all ate it up—I only have three stickers left! | Outside of the venue |
Me, Solange, Stephanie, and Briy (from left to right) | Who I MetThis was definitely the tall girl networking event of the year! I met two tall girlies from NYC, Briy and Solange. Please tell me why this is our first time meeting in person :////// AND WE ALL LIVE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. Honestly, there were a lot of TALL CELEBRITIESSSS who came through. I met Stephanie from Prissy Duck, Paryse from Paryse Style, Jacqueline from TallHeiress, and Whitney from… |
Brand Feature - Whitney Allysyn
The queen herself | Whitney was actually a previous guest on this podcast (the episode). When I tell you that she’s the queen of capsule wardrobes for tall women, I’m not kidding. In fact, she created a sustainable capsule collection that FITS our beautiful long limbs. Each piece is designed to last for a very very long time, is timeless, and can match with anything in your wardrobe. I tried on one of her products at the pop-up shop and yes, I definitely stand behind this brand. Learn more about Whitney Allysyn below! |
What I GotAt the event, each brand provided a few items from their collection in various sizes (XS-XXL) for us to try on, and if we liked anything, we could order online at tallsize.com to have it shipped. It’s a super smart system for an online marketplace like Tall Size! I ordered two things from TJL Collection—follow me on my socials to catch the unboxing and review when they arrive. If you want the links to everything I tried on, you’re gonna have to check out my latest episode! | Items from Paryse Style and Liv Tall |
There honestly will not be enough words on this page to fully describe how amazing this event was so if you want the full lowdown, check out the video!!!! 👇👇👇

Leopard Print: A Tall Girl’s Go-To Neutral
Leopard print is one of those trends that always seems to come back around. This season, it’s everywhere again, and I’m not mad about it. The best part? Leopard print can be treated like a neutral, which makes it super versatile. You can wear it as a statement piece or as a subtle accent—it pretty much works with anything in your wardrobe. If you’ve been hesitant about incorporating leopard print into your closet as a tall woman, here’s why I think it works and how to style it.
Why Leopard Print Works
One of the reasons I love leopard print is that it’s bold without being over the top. It adds interest without overwhelming your frame, and when you find pieces in tall sizing or that are tall-friendly, it’s easy to work into everyday looks. I’d recommend opting for natural fibers like cotton or linen to keep things polished; polyester tends to look cheap with this print.
Styling Tips for Tall Women
If you’re wondering whether a busy print like leopard works on a tall frame, the answer is yes! The key is to let the print be the focal point and keep everything else simple. Here are a few ways I’ve been styling leopard print lately:
Leopard Pants with NeutralsLeopard print pants are fun, but you don’t want anything else to compete with them. Pair them with a black, brown, or taupe sweater or top to keep the outfit balanced. A pop of color can work, but make sure it doesn’t take away from the print. |
Body Suit + BlazerA simple body suit paired with a leopard print blazer is an easy way to add interest to your outfit. You could also flip this idea—leopard print pants with a neutral blazer for a balanced look. |
Leopard Print SneakersLeopard print sneakers are one of my favorite ways to add a little personality to an outfit without going overboard. They work with just about anything—jeans, joggers, dresses—and brands like Dolce Vita offer sizes up to 15, so they’re great for tall women. |
Leopard Print AccessoriesIf you’re just starting with the trend, a scarf or belt is a simple way to work leopard print into your wardrobe. It adds a bit of fun without being too bold. |
Final Thoughts…
Leopard print might seem like a bold choice, but it can be just as versatile as any neutral. Whether you’re going all in with pants or just adding a small accent, it’s a trend that works for tall women when styled with intention.
