What Really Happens When Tall People Gather in One Room

I went to the Tall Tour in NYC!

Welcome (or Welcome Back) Bestie <3

My name is India, and this is the November issue of A Tall Girl’s Newsletter, an add-on of A Tall Girl’s Podcast, which is dedicated to helping tall women feel more confident in their height.

It might take you 60 seconds, but it’d help this podcast reach the right people by leaving a review. Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter! I really do appreciate it.

🎉 An Event Specifically For Tall People? Yes Please!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the Tall Tour hosted by Tyler Bergantino. It’s basically a national tour where the tallest people in each state gather to celebrate their height! And of course, as the host of A Tall Girl’s Podcast, I had to go.

I had three main goals:

  1. Hand out my stickers and postcards.

  2. Get an interview with Tyler.

  3. Get 7 pieces of content for my socials.

I’d say I hit about 1.5 of those goals 😭

The stickers and postcards were a hit! I made stickers for three “types” of tall: short tall girl, average tall girl, and tall tall girl. Some people weren’t into the “average tall girl” one at first (thinking it meant basic lol), but after explaining, they got it. Some attendees even got asked about their stickers by others.

We love brand awareness! Check out this clip where my sticker made it into Tyler’s video.

Did I get an interview with Tyler? Kind of. I finally got to him late at night, pushed through a packed crowd, handed him a keychain, and answered two questions on camera. Not in the final video (which I’m glad because I’m sure I looked like a wreck :/), but hey, my sticker made it!

As for content with the tall girlies…yeah, I barely got half a vlog. NYC was insane, the event was packed wall-to-wall, the lighting was terrible, and I was so focused on the stickers that filming took a backseat.

But overall, I had a blast. I met some of my followers, hung out with tall girlies, and generated awareness for the podcast. Would I do it again? Absolutely! But maybe on a slightly smaller scale lol.

What to Wear from Morning to Night

Here’s my style guide for a full day of Thanksgiving — tall-girl approved from sunrise to dessert. Whether you’re hosting, traveling, or just here for the mashed potatoes, these looks keep comfort and proportion in check all day long.

Morning: Cozy & Casual

Maybe you’re watching the parade, hanging with family, or getting a head start on cooking. You want something comfortable and casual but still put-together — think matching lounge sets, longline cardigans, and easy layers that actually reach your wrists and ankles.

Dinner: Elevated & Easy

When it’s time to sit down to eat (or host a house full of people), it’s all about balance — comfortable but pulled together. Try a wide-leg pant with a stretchy waistband, a full-length skirt and oversized sweater, or a relaxed dress with tall boots. Nothing too restricting, but definitely not sweatpants.

Evening: Relaxed But Refined

After dinner, it’s time to unwind — maybe dessert, maybe an after-dinner drink, definitely comfort. Swap back into a matching pajama set or soft knit lounge pieces that feel as good as they look. Cozy doesn’t have to mean sloppy.

🙃 Why Are Tall Women Often Masculinized?

We’re gonna start with a question.

Have you ever noticed how height plays a role in how you’re treated as a woman?

Just as an example: many tall women feel as though people take them more seriously, partially due to their height, whereas many short women feel the opposite.

Physical appearance plays a huge role in how people perceive you. And to many, that usually means clothing and personal style, body art, even skin tone and weight.

However, height is one of those more subtle things that people don’t even realize they’re treating you a certain way because of it, whether in the workplace, friendships, or even romantic relationships.

And we’re gonna dive deeper into why this is the case, how that affects the everyday lives of tall and short women, and the role it plays in both parties’ confidence, so make sure to tune in to the episode of the month for more on this topic!
